Gather up as many as 14 people (including yourself) to show up at your place and I bring over 12 great bottles of wine. Then, with my guidance, you and your guests have a fun and memorable evening. It's just that easy!
This is not a “serious” tasting or a class, with noses firmly inserted in glasses and brows furrowed trying to reveal the mysteries of the grape. This is more of a wine drinking to help you discover what you like and how to find it. Just like on most modern subway systems, spitting will be strongly discouraged.
Together, we'll cut through all the snobbery that many people find so intimidating, and emphasize the simple pleasures of drinking great wine. At the end of the event, I'll provide a complete list of the evening's wines, along with how much they cost and where they can be found. Then everyone can go out and find the bottles that they liked the most.
I can even custom tailor the tasting to match your preferences. For example, I've done tastings featuring only Champagnes and other sparkling wines. Or just reds or just whites, or just one varietal or country, or just about anything you can think of. I can also do more “high-end” tastings of wines that still represent great bargains.
The basic cost is only $300. That includes the wine, wine glasses and my presentation. Other packages are available for a slight additional cost to accommodate more people.
